I am 27 years old female. I was diagnosed with an endometriotic cyst in October 2016 through a diagnostic laparoscopy for unexplained 24/7 pelvic pain and other issues like bloating, intermenstrual blood stained vaginal discharge, loss of appetite, weight loss and urinary urgency/ frequency persisting for about 5 months. The cyst and appendix was removed (excised) during the surgery. I felt good for about 3 months after surgery. But after that, I started getting urinary symptoms like before again. And slowly other issues like pelvic pain, bloating, low appetite started coming up intermittently. My urinary symptoms of urgency/frequency and bladder pressure were persistent for long time. And my urine reports did not show any significant infection. I also underwent cystoscopy . There was nothing significant found in that too. I had read that persistent urinary symptoms can be due to ovarian cancer, due to which I became paranoid as I have a family history of breast cancer. And I had read that these two cancers are related. I got MRI and CT scans done for the same along with CA-125. There were few abnormal findings, but didn’t seem that serious as my doctors didn’t seem much concerned about that. I was in consultation with quite a few doctors for those abnormal findings and for the things I was suffering with. So, I started with medicines related to urinary issues suggested by one of the doctors who was dealing with me, as my other issues had reduced. Though I still get pain during periods, urinary issues and few other things sometimes , but all these issues have reduced to a great extent. And I am leading almost a normal life.
