Video Lecture on Bowel Endometriosis
This is a recorded lecture at the 1st meeting of the Young APAGE group with APAGE and BMIS
Bowel endometriosis is one of the most difficult forms of endometriosis to treat. It mostly affects the rectum and sigmoid colon but it can also affect the appendix and small bowel.
Making the diagnosis preoperatively is the key to managing this disease but the sad reality is that most radiologists do not recognise bowel endometriosis and most gynecologists do not perform their own imaging so a lot of the diagnoses are missed.
